The Claymore has been in use since the 1960’s and in still employed by soldiers of Australia, USA, Great Britain, New Zealand, Canada, etc. etc . They were used by U.S., Australian, New Zealand and British soldiers in such wars as Vietnam War Falklands War, Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghanistan, and East Timor.
Soldiers use them to initiate ambushes and for perimeter defence of bases or camps. They are used with tripwires or can be fired by remote electrical switch.
