The blade is repeatedly heat treated and hand forged to remove impurities, which gives it strength and flexibility. The blade is full tang and is fully functional and battle-ready. The sword has a folded steel 1060 carbon steel blade with overall 53HRC. The sword also comes with silk sageo/ito, genuine same' (rayskin), and is durable enough to cut tameshigiri, bamboo, bone, iron wire, and more.
